The Tavern Rules
Nailed to the door by Fred himself. Read them before you pull up a stool.
1. Keep it in character… mostly
This is a roleplay paper. Stories, letters and gossip are in character (IC): your hero can be a liar, a villain or a drunk. Out-of-character (OOC) remarks are fine when you mark them, e.g. ((OOC: great event last night!)).
2. Be kind to the people behind the characters
- No harassment, slurs, threats or hate speech, IC or OOC.
- Characters may feud. Players may not. Leave real-life grudges at the door.
- Never share anyone's real name, location, photos or private messages.
3. Keep it tavern-appropriate
- No explicit sexual content. Fade to black.
- Graphic violence belongs in war reports, not in comments.
- Mark story spoilers for new WoW content in the first two weeks after release.
4. Play fair
- One account per person. Alts are characters, not accounts.
- No spam or advertising, and no buying, selling, trading or offering services — not even in-game gold or carries. This is a fan paper, not a market.
- Only post art and writing you made yourself or have permission to share.
5. How moderation works
- Comments with strong language are held for review automatically. They are never silently deleted.
- Members can ⚑ Report a comment. After three reports it is held for a moderator.
- Letters, news tips and events are all read by a moderator before they are printed.
- Repeated rule-breaking can lead to losing your badges, titles or your seat at the tavern.
6. A fan project
